Located in the small community of Cross Roads about 14 miles southwest of Athens, Country Oaks is down-home golf at its finest, with super-friendly owners and laid-back golfers who make the day more enjoyable. The 18-hole layout is known for its numerous water hazards and excellent condition. In the spring, blooming dogwoods beautify the course.

The most difficult hole on this hilly track is the par 4 No. 13, which requires a long iron or fairway wood approach into an elevated green. However the course also has a few long, challenging par 5s as well as great par 3s. -Texas Golf Bible

SPECIAL NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS AND FRIENDS OF GENE AND DALE

On Friday, November 16th, 2012 Gene and Dale were driving home and were struck by a suspected drunk driver. Dale was killed in the accident and Gene is still in critical condition.

The course is still open and being operated by a wonderful group of volunteers, friends and family. For more information on the course hours of operation please call the clubhouse at 903-489-3325.
